Looking Back at 2025, Looking Ahead to New Adventures in 2026

As one year ends and another begins, it’s only natural to look back on where we’ve been, and start dreaming about where we might go next. Travel in 2025 had its twists and turns (and a few unexpected plot twists, thank you Donald), but it also reminded us why exploring the world continues to matter so much. Even when plans changed, the sense of adventure will never really disappeared.

Over the last year, we have seen travellers leaning into experiences that felt more meaningful. It wasn’t just about getting away, it was about slowing down, taking it all in, and creating memories worth talking about long after the suitcases were unpacked. From long-awaited reunions and milestone celebrations to spontaneous escapes and bucket-list trips, 2025 delivered plenty of moments that made travel unbelievably special.

Of course, not every journey went perfectly (because when does it ever?). Flights were missed, plans shifted, and occasionally someone found themselves wondering how their luggage ended up in a completely different country. The difference? Having a team ready to jump in when things didn’t go to plan. When challenges popped up, our team rose to meet them, problem-solving, reassuring, and finding solutions. And when those moments happened after hours, our after-hours support was there too, because travel surprises don’t always stick to business hours!

Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be a year full of possibility, and excitement.

There’s a real sense that it’s time to explore again, try something new, and maybe say yes to experiences that feel just a little outside our comfort zones (in the best way). Travellers are embracing journeys that offer connection, comfort, and discovery all at once. Escorted tours and thoughtfully planned trips are becoming firm favourites, letting you focus on enjoying the journey while someone else worries about the logistics.

One adventure we’re especially excited about in 2026 is our Escorted Tour to Japan. Japan has a magical way of blending ancient traditions with modern life.  From neon-lit city streets to peaceful temples and food that will ruin takeaway sushi forever. Travelling with both an experienced guide as well as one of our amazing team means you can relax, enjoy, and simply take it all in.

Closer to home, our Tasmania tour is another highlight we can’t wait to share. Tasmania delivers big on scenery, stories, and flavour, with wild coastlines, charming towns, and food and wine that somehow taste even better after a day of exploring. Its proof that you don’t have to travel far to feel a long way from everyday life.

We’re also excited to be launching a Solo Travel campaign in 2026. And just to clear things up, solo travel doesn’t have to mean travelling alone unless you want it to. For some, it’s joining a small group of like-minded travellers. For others, it’s an independent journey with expert support on standby. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be exploring all the ways solo travel can look, confidently, comfortably, and with plenty of incredible experiences along the way.

And this is just the beginning. 2026 will bring even more opportunities for new adventures, curated journeys, special-interest travel, and experiences that connect people through a shared love of discovery. Whether it’s culture, nature, food, or simply seeing somewhere new, travel continues to remind us why it’s always worth it.
